I did accidently crack the screen, a few years ago. It now won’t even turn on, it doesn’t show the Amazon Fire logo. ![]() It was becoming very hot, while I was trying to charge it, it is slow to recharge the battery and then the battery drains very quickly while I use the tablet. This has happened before when the battery was completely dead, but it was fine after I recharged it.Ĭharged the battery. I have used different charging cables, different charging plugs, a different extension lead, or plugged it into the socket in the wall, but nothing works. I chose to reboot the system and it hasn’t worked since at all. It wasn’t fully charged (maybe 40%-50% charged) It eventually turned itself off, and every time I tried to turn it back on again, it would turn itself off, due to the battery being completely dead, so I tried to recharge it, the amazon/fire logo was displayed but it kept loading the Amazon Fire logo. I was using the tablet to look at and other websites, the tablet crashed and was unresponsive. I have a 7th generation Amazon Fire tablet, that I have had for a few years. This post applies to 5th through 8th Gen Amazon Fire devices such as the HD7, HD8, and HD10.
